Morris K-6 basketball signups Saturday
Morris K-6 youth basketball will hold signups from 9-11 a.m. at the Morris Townhouse. For more information, contact Tom Smith at 607-263-9813 or Glen Noto at 607-263-5955. There is a fee of $10 and deadline to register is Dec. 10.
Locals win at swim meet
Two area swimmers competed at the Pilgrims Pride Swim Meet at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy on Nov. 12.
Oneonta resident John Hurley won five events. Hurley, 69, earned victories in the 50-yard freestyle (58.76 seconds), 100 freestyle (2:27), 50 freestyle (1:37), 100 backstroke (3:52) and 200 backstroke (8:40).
Otego resident Nancy Bachman won three of the four events she competed in. Bachman, 49, won the 50 breastroke (48.62), 50 butterfly (49.20) and 200 backstroke (4:22). She was also second in the 100 individual medley (1:36.81).
Unatego Boosters to hold alumni games
The Unatego Spartan Booster Club will hold its third annual alumni games this weekend.
An optional basketball practice starts the weekend at 6 p.m. Friday, followed by a volleyball match at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, a JV fast-breakers game for players ages 35-and-younger will start at 6 p.m., followed by an old-timers game for ages 35-and-older at 7:30 p.m. An indoor soccer tournament closes the alumni events at noon Sunday.[an error occurred while processing this directive]
Games are open to all Unatego, Unadilla or Otego alumni. Admission is $1 or a donation of a non-perishable food item or beauty product that will be given to Unatego Helping Hands Holiday Project.

Calcio Legends accepting registrations
The Calcio Legends Soccer Club is accepting registrations for competitive travel soccer teams that will compete in winter and spring leagues, indoor and outdoor tournaments and specialized training clinics.

Soccer referees meeting set for Dec. 2
The Oneonta Soccer Referees’ Association will hold an interest meeting at 11 a.m. Dec. 2 at the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta.

OBGC to start senior basketball Dec. 9
The Oneonta Boys and Girls Club will begin its senior boys basketball league Dec. 9.
Rosters must be completed and returned to the club by Dec. 6. Players who seek to join a team should sign up at the OBGC by Dec. 6. The league is for players ages 16-18 who are not on a varsity or junior varsity team but are still eligible to play high school basketball.

OHS boys to play in STOP-DWI Classic
The Oneonta High boys basketball team will compete in the 15th annual STOP-DWI Holiday Classic, which runs Dec. 28-30 at the Broome County Arena in Binghamton.
OHS will compete in one of two four-team regional divisions. The Jackets will compete against Regional Division II opponents Candor, Lansing and Susquehanna Valley.
