Area Bowling
Country Club Classic
Ed Thompson rolled a 727 set Nov. 8 to lead all bowlers in the Country Club Chevrolet Classic at Holiday Lanes in Oneonta.
Thompson had games of 235, 247 and 245, but his Tri-County Communications team lost, 11-7, to Holiday Lanes. Pat Muller had a 714 set and Ron Davis a 702 to lead the winners.
Jim Delello’s 726 triple, including a 290 in the final game, helped Dante’s Pizzeria to a 13-5 victory over Eckerd Drugs. Rich Fink rolled a 675 set for the winners.
Lee Kopf led Putnam Pest Control to a 14-4 win over Zim’s Shoes with a 696 series. Bruce Carroll contributed a 643 for the winners. Kermit Weaver had a 662 set for Zim’s.
On Nov. 1, Pat Muller’s 751 set led Holiday Lanes to a 16-2 thumping of Eckerd Drugs. Included in Muller’s set was a 300 game, the eighth he’s thrown. Mark Rathbun had a 762 series and Ron Davis a 728 in the win.
Jim Delello threw a high set of 781, but Dante’s Pizzeria lost to Tri-County Communications, 14-4. Delello had games of 298, 259 and 224 en route to the league’s highest set of the season. Joe Ingalls, who leads the league with a 233 average, rolled a 750 to lead Tri-County to the win.
Kyle Thomson had a 730 series to give Putnam Pest Control a 12-6 win over Zim’s Shoes. Steve Hiscox had a 679 for Zim’s.

Michelob Light Classic
Rod Holcomb’s 770 series led all bowlers and helped RJ Anderson Roofing to a 17-7 victory over LL Dog in the Michelob Light Classic on Nov. 13.
All four of RJ Anderson’s bowlers topped the 700 mark and scored a league-best total of 2,960. Bruce Carroll had a 745 set, Greg Muehl a 723 and Tim Carroll contributed a 712 triple. LL Dog was led by Steve Hiscox, who rolled a 741, including a 299 game. Gus Lampo Jr. had a 738 triple.
Ron Davis rolled a 700 to help Oak Tree Homes beat Ritz Farms, 17-7, and move into first place. Brian Davis had a 694 in the win. Brad Brundage scored a 748 triple to lead Ritz.
Barry Gray shot a 697 and Joe Curcio a 690 to lead Otsego Golf Club to a 16-6 victory over Magro’s Pizza. Scott Chapin led Magro’s with a 709 series.
On Oct. 30, Brian Davis rolled a 730 high series to lead Oak Tree Homes past Et Al, 21-3. Ron Davis had a 694 in the win. Ralph Mollison threw a 642 series to lead Et Al.
Kyle Thompson had a 681 set to lead Ritz Farms to a 15-8 victory over Oneonta Cellular. Phil Jones had a 664 and Brad Brundage a 619 in the win.
Justin Vitacco rolled a 694 triple to lead Magro’s Pizza to a 13-11 win over B&G Enterprise. Drew Bradley contributed a 637 set in the win. Mark Falcone rolled a 666 in the loss.
