Foote’s 15 points lead Sidney

Andy Foote scored 15 points and Brett Pendorf contributed 13 to lead Sidney to a 46-37 Midstate Athletic Conference boys basketball victory Tuesday night.
The Warriors (5-1, 3-0) led, 28-5, at halftime.
"We had awesome defensive pressure and we kept their kids away from the basket," said Sidney coach Mike Brazee, who received nine points from Darrin Martindale.
Chris McGinnis scored 11 points and Willie McGinnis 10 points for the Bobcats, who fell to 1-4.
Sidney (5-1, 3-0) visits Walton on Thursday.

Ben Burdick scored 12 of his game-high 20 points in the second quarter to lead visiting Oxford to a non-division Midstate Athletic Conference victory.
Oxford used an 18-6 second quarter to open a 31-13 lead at halftime.
"Oxford did a solid job against us," Delhi coach Warren Kelly said. "They really beat us down the floor in the second quarter and they played nice defense in the first half."
Pat O’Connell had a team-high 12 points and Luke Burns had eight rebounds for the Bulldogs (3-2), who play at Bainbridge-Guilford on Friday.

The Spartans (2-2), who led, 14-9, at halftime, outscored the Warriors, 26-7, to take a 40-16 lead.

"They played good defense all night," Walton coach Gary Williams said. "In the third, they only missed a couple shots the whole quarter. That quarter they just came out and seemed a lot more focused and ready to go."
Owen Moss contributed 10 points for Unatego.
Pat O’Brien had 14 points, six rebounds and four steals for the Warriors (2-3), who play host to Sidney on Thursday.

Logan Griffiths hit four three throws in the final 36 seconds as Milford rallied for a Tri-Valley League victory at home.
Laurens coach Andy Carr called two timeouts in the last 36 seconds with Griffiths on the line.
"He’s a good free-throw shooter," Milford coach Frank Spurchise said. "He got iced by Andy Carr and he hit all four of those shots."
The Wildcats (4-3, 1-1) shot a season-best 10-for-15 from the line. Ron Alston scored a team-high 17 points for Milford, which hosts Cherry Valley-Springfield on Friday.
Aaron Laing scored a game-high 19 points to lead Laurens (0-3).
