Delhi boys rally for road win
Staff Report
Patrick O’Connell’s 13 points and clutch shooting by Davionne Price rallied Delhi to a 49-42 non-league boys basketball victory at Worcester on Monday.
Coming off a timeout and trailing, 37-29, late in the third quarter, Delhi went on a 7-0 run sparked by a three-pointer from Price. The Bulldogs (5-2) took the lead for good in the fourth quarter _ at 41-40 _ on Price’s second three-pointer.
"We just couldn’t do anything right," Worcester coach Jim Kenyon said of his team’s performance in the fourth quarter, when the Wolverines (2-1) were outscored, 13-5. "I think when they got ahead of us, we got a little jittery.
