Calcio Legends seek boys players

The Calcio Legends Soccer Club has openings on its under-16 boys soccer team. All boys younger than 16 as of Aug. 1, 2006 are eligible to participate. Teams compete in winter and spring leagues, tournament and friendlies.

U. at Albany to host track meet

The USA Track & Field Adirondack Association will close its indoor track meets at the University at Albany’s SEFCU Arena from 2-5 p.m. March 4 for open and masters competitors only.

Registration will take place one hour before each meet. Entry fees are $5 for USATF members, $10 for non-members and $3 for athletes ages 12 and younger. Memberships for 2007 can be purchased at the meets or at the website usatf.org.

Delhi to hold water aerobics class

SUNY Delhi is accepting registrations for water aerobics classes, which begin March 13 and run until May 11.

The classes will run from 9-10 a.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with a deep-water class set for 10-10:30 a.m. every Friday.[an error occurred while processing this directive][an error occurred while processing this directive]For four-week packages, the cost of one day a week attendance is $20, two days $30 and three days $40. For eight-week packages, one day is $40, two days $60 and three days $80. Individual days cost $6.

Basketball state tourney dates set

The New York State Public High School Athletic Association has announced its schedule for the 2007 boys basketball state tournaments at the Glens Falls Civic Center. Tickets for the event, which runs March 16-18, cost $10 per session or $45 for all sessions and can be purchased at the Civic Center Box Office or by phone at 518-798-0202. Tickets also can be purchased through Ticketmaster, at all locations, by visiting the website http://www.ticketmaster.com, or by calling 518-476-1000 or 802-862-5300.

The schedule is as follows:

March 16 semifinals: Class D, 10 and 11:45 a.m.; Class C, 1:30 and 5 p.m.; Class B, 6:45 and 8:30 p.m.

March 17 semifinals: Class A, 9 and 10:45 a.m.; Class AA, 12:30 and 2:15 p.m.

March 17 championships: Class D, 5:30 p.m.; Class C, 7:15 p.m.; Class B, 9 p.m.

March 18 championships: Class A, 1 p.m.; Class AA, 2:45 p.m.

Delhi to offer spring swim lessons

SUNY Delhi will hold registration for spring swim lessons at its pool in late March.

Two options are offered for swimmers. The six-lesson option runs from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays from March 24-May 12. The 12-lesson option runs from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturdays, and from 4-5 p.m. Wednesdays from March 21-May 12.

Each lesson runs 30 minutes and includes Red Cross Levels I-VI, diving and an infant/toddler/pre-school group on Saturdays. The cost for the six-lesson option is $35 and $45 for the 12-lesson option.

Baseball exhibition series set

The Blue Jays Baseball Organization will hold an exhibition series for high school varsity and junior varsity players near the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown in late April and mid-May.

The organization also will hold summer tournaments for 13-under, 14-under, 15-under, 16-under and 18-under teams on Memorial Day weekend, from July 2-4 and in early August.

OBGC is offering wrestling

The Oneonta Boys and Girls Club will teach wrestling for youths ages 7-12 from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays through March. For more information, call 432-1133.

Youth soccer registration underway

The Oneonta Youth Soccer Association has started registration for its Spring Recreation Soccer League. Forms have been distributed through the City of Oneonta Elementary Schools and are also available at Sport Tech.

This League is for youths in grades kindergarten through second who attend an Oneonta City School or live within the Oneonta City School District.

YMCA sign-ups set for adult leagues

The Oneonta YMCA is accepting registrations for winter adult leagues in racquetball, basketball and soccer.

Racquetball and fastbreak basketball will be played Monday nights. Over-30 basketball and over-50 men’s basketball are set for Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. Women’s basketball will be Thursdays, and co-ed soccer Sundays.
