O-State 68, Ithaca 62

Eric Bratt scored 15 points Tuesday to lead Oneonta State (9-10) to a non-conference victory over visiting Ithaca (9-9).

O-State led by 12 points in the first half before Ithaca went on a 15-4 run to close the gap to 28-27 at the half. The Red Dragons sealed it with a 10-for-16 effort from the foul line in the last 2 minutes, 30 seconds.

William Heslin contributed 13 points, and Michael Reardon and Kevin Reed (Downsville) scored 12 points apiece for Oneonta, which visits New Paltz on Saturday.

Women’s Basketball

Ithaca 72, O-State 60

The Bombers (10-8) closed a non-conference victory with a 16-0 run over the final 5:44 at Oneonta State (12-7).

Erika Steele’s game-high 20 points and eight rebounds led Ithaca (10-8), which trailed, 33-28, at the half. Oneonta led, 54-48, with 9:10 to play, but Ithaca rallied and tied it at 56 on a layup by Molly Friedel. O-State scored the next four points before Ithaca’s decisive run.

Reserve Kerri Swails scored 10 points on 5-for-7 shooting to lead the Red Dragons, who visit New Paltz on Saturday.
