O’Sullivan an All-American in 2 events

Oneonta State’s Kaitlin O’Sullivan earned two All-American honors Saturday in the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind.
O’Sullivan, a junior, finished second in the 800 meters and fourth in the mile as O-State’s lone representative at the meet. The top eight finishers earned All-America honors.
She opened the day by running the mile in a school-record 4 minutes, 52.78 seconds. Marcia Taddy of Wisconsin-Platteville won the event in 4:49.38.
In the 800, O’Sullivan finished with a school-record 2:11.95, finishing behind Taddy (2:10.14).
In both of her school-record times, O’Sullivan broke records she’d previously held. O’Sullivan also All-America recognition last season in the 800 and 1,500.
The Red Dragons finished 13th out of 56 teams with 13 points. Williams College won with 42.
