O-State shuts out Morrisville
Staff Report
Oneonta State’s men broke a lacrosse shutout streak that dates to at least 1999 season, when they defeated visiting winless Morrisville, 13-0, Wednesday.
The Red Dragons, who received a combined 12 saves from Brian Tricoles and Kyle Reich, had not been involved in a shutout dating to 2000. O-State’s program started in 1980, but sports information director Geoff Hassard said the school only has records on the team from the start of the 2000 season.
Four times since 2000, O-State has allowed one goal, most recently a 25-1 win over SUNYIT in 2004. The Red Dragons have not been shut out during that span.
