Giants spell victory
This is the part I love.
Late Wednesday night, yours truly passes Super Bowl prediction sheets around the office. The instructions were simple: Pick a winner, name the score and write why your prediction is accurate.
It's late Thursday night and a grand total of six have returned their sheets. And only one, Daily Star Editor-In-Chief Sam Pollak, has written anything with meaning at the bottom.
That is unless you include Jill Fahy's "Who are the Baltimore Ravens?" line. I don't believe this is Jill's usual biting wit, but rather a serious question.
As the young people say, it's all good. I'd be stumped if Jill asked me to name a team from Cub Scout Pack 27's Father/Son Bake-off held at Valleyview Elementary on Jan. 19.
It all comes down to this
Why am I such a wuss?
All week, people have been asking for my `professional' opinion on the Super Bowl. Who's going to win? By how much? Would I take the points? Will the game come in over or under?
But I'm not saying. Frankly, I'm too chicken. Hence, there will be no prediction from me on Super Bowl XXXV.
Why?
Because I'm absurdly superstitious when it comes to the New York Giants.
