ONEONTA — Hartwick athletic director Ken Kutler is moving, but he'll still be in the same neighborhood. Kutler, 61, said Friday he accepted the position of director of athletics and recreational sports at Ithaca College, which competes against Hartwick in the Empire 8 Conference.

Things looked great a week or so ago. The snow had disappeared without much flooding and the streams were starting to look good. Even though the rivers were quite high, fishing on the opening day of trout season was a distinct possibility. The smaller creeks had a little discoloration, but the water levels were fishable.
