EDMESTON — It probably seemed like the Great Wall of China and the Berlin Wall put together, but Brad Belden and Edmeston finally broke through against Laurens on Thursday.


Worcester girls upset Milford in OT, 1-0

Look out for the Worcester girls soccer team. The Wolverines earned their fifth straight victory Thursday, and this one was the most impressive. Worcester defeated Milford, 1-0, in overtime to hand the Wildcats their first Tri-Valley League loss of the season.


Delhi girls finish 12-0

Delhi closed its second straight undefeated girls tennis season Thursday with a 5-0 Midstate Athletic Conference sweep of host Hancock.


Sidney’s Ackley wins MAC title

Sidney’s Chas Ackley earned medalist honors Thursday with an 8-over-par 78 during the Midstate Athletic Conference Championships at the Canasawacta Country Club in Norwich.
